LEGACY LIVES ON
While Hagibis was built by icons who defined an era, its spirit continues to thrive through the dedication of the members carrying the torch today. The movement, vocal distribution, accents, and signature choreography that made Hagibis unforgettable are still very much alive—preserved and reimagined for today’s audiences.

PETE GATELA
Originally handpicked in 2009 by Hagibis legends Sonny Parsons, Mike Respall, and Bernie Fineza, Pete Gatela was welcomed into the group not just as a new member, but as a rightful heir to its bold musical tradition. His charisma, commanding stage presence, and vocal prowess quickly won the approval of both longtime fans and new audiences—proving that he was born to carry the Hagibis torch.
As the voice and energy behind Hagibis in its modern era, and the trusted wingman of Sonny Parsons, Pete has been instrumental in keeping the band alive on stage and on screen. His powerful performances seamlessly bridge the timeless hits of the 1970s and 1980s with the excitement of today’s audiences. Through Pete’s dedication and commitment, Hagibis has not only endured but flourished—proving that the group’s music and message remain relevant across generations.
Carlos Parsons
Carrying the family legacy of Sonny Parsons, Carlos Parsons stepped into Hagibis with both pride and responsibility. Following Sonny’s passing in 2020, Carlos embraced the challenge of continuing his brother’s vision for the group—bringing not only his own artistry, but also a deep personal connection to the Hagibis name.
From the moment he joined, Carlos was welcomed as more than just a replacement—he became a bridge between the past and present, ensuring that the swagger, discipline, and passion Sonny embodied would remain alive on stage. With his dedication, Carlos honors both his brother’s memory and the group’s timeless tradition.
